Thanks to the hard work of the legislature, the budget bill for Fiscal Year 2009 passed. My colleagues and I will now look to balance the budget for 2010.

Education is one if not the most important issue facing Kansans today. I will continue to do all that I can to ensure adequate funding for our children’s future.
